AGILITY BEGINNERS Introducing the Obstacles
Run, jump, climb, zoom through tunnels – that’s what agility is all about. In the sport of dog agility, the handler directs their dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. The Intro to Obstacles class introduces your dog to the agility obstacles: A-Frame, dog-walk, jumps, tunnels and chute, in a safe and positive manner.
  • This group class is not appropriate for dogs with aggressive behavior
  • Puppies must be at least 6 months of age, and WILL NOT be allowed to jump anything above the height of their elbow.
  • Class size is limited and priority will be given to K9 Manners & More COEDS and Model Citizen graduates

Continuing from Intro to Obstacles
This course is about introducing handling skills and sequences. Dogs also begin to learn the seesaw, and weave poles.
  • Completion of at least 4 weeks of Intro to Obstacles, with instructor recommendation to advance. Not all dogs are comfortable with the equipment after just 4 weeks, and it is important not to rush the process! Many students repeat Intro to Obstacles at least once.
Our instructors teach many levels of agility teams. We evaluate your skills to determine the class best suited to your skill level and progression.
  • If you have been in K9 Manners & More agility program, your instructor will work with you to determine the best class.
  • If you have been training somewhere else, you can set up an evaluation for class placement
